 It seems this much-awaited development is finally going to happen. After being on the drawing board for about 10 years now, the rehabilitation of the DZR Airport now seems to be preparing for final take off! |  | The Flight from Manila takes approximately 1 hr and 10 mins. There are 5 flights daily from Manila (Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific) and 1 flight 4 times a week from Cebu (Air Philippines). The Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport is situated on the beachfront of Brgy. San Jose in Tacloban City. Upon the aircraft's approach to the DZR Airport, passengers will be treated to the beautiful seascape surrounding Leyte and Samar. This airport is your gateway to the six provinces of Region 8 otherwise known as Eastern Visayas. Eastern Visayas comprises 6 provinces: Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Samar, Eastern Samar and Western Samar. |

The Province of Biliran is part of Eastern Visayas. Philippine Airlines flies daily (3 flights) to Tacloban City, Leyte from Manila. Air Philipplines flies four times a week from Cebu City to Tacloban City.
From Tacloban City, all it takes is a two and a half ride (by land) to get to the paradise Province of Biliran.
